The Rising
Carmen MettlerShare
The memory in the embers
Buried deep in the ashes
Of ancestors, of life, of our inheritance
Carries the seeds for the flames we are
May our flames blaze brightly
May our lights shine truly
May we allow the ever unfolding force of love to open us
Like this breath
Like this heartbeat
Like the pure unencumbered
Spirit of remembering
The beauty of who we are
Written in the stars
A lighthouse
A flower
A laughing buddha
Tears of sorrow
Expanding into the great unseen and unknown mystery,
Home.
Surrendered to the magnificence
of life here and now.
Thank you Life
For the blessing of being here.
No less and no more than the trees and stars.
May we find our center amidst it all
The center of life in all its beauty and terror
May we remember the love that we are
May we remember our beauty
And truth as paradox
May we know we are surrounded by love and support
May we trust life and the unfolding
May all beings be free to be all that they are
May we be carried on the wings of Grace always
May the seeds we carry in our hearts become blossoms for all, including ourselves.
